The Best Reddit Audience Research Tools for Marketers in 2026

Short answer: the best Reddit research tools for marketers in 2026 are Adlicio for customer language and ad angles, Reddit Pro for free keyword trends, Reddit's AI search for quick free summaries, PainOnSocial for pain points, SparkToro for audience mapping, and F5Bot or Syften for keyword alerts. Subreddit Signals and Brand24 suit teams that also want leads or listening across many platforms.

Reddit is where buyers explain, in their own words, what they tried, what failed and what they would pay for. GummySearch was the default tool for reading it until it closed to new users on November 30, 2025. This list covers what marketers use now.

How we checked: Adlicio publishes this list and is one of the tools on it, so here is exactly what we did. We ran Adlicio's free objection finder on a real topic, robot vacuums, and show the result below. For the other eight tools we read each product page, help center and pricing page, and took every screenshot ourselves on October 10, 2026. We did not buy their paid plans, so we give a verdict for each tool but no star ratings. Prices were checked on each tool's own pricing page or help center on September 28, 2026, and each tool is linked so you can verify.

1. Adlicio: customer language and ad angles

Adlicio's free objection finder on robot vacuumsAdlicio's free Reddit objection finder on robot vacuums: 9 objections from 180 comments in 5 threads, each with a suggested answer and the comment behind it. Run on October 10, 2026.

Adlicio reads Reddit threads, and 29 other sources such as Amazon, TikTok and Google Maps reviews, then ranks what people say into pains, objections, desires and hook lines, with the original comment behind each one. You can run it in the web app, in the free Chrome extension, or inside Claude and ChatGPT through the Adlicio MCP server, where you ask in plain words and Claude pulls the threads.

On robot vacuums, the free objection finder read 180 comments in 5 threads and returned 9 objections in about 30 seconds, led by "I have to pick up everything off the floor before it can run" and "It gets stuck on cords, furniture, and random stuff constantly".

Free tools that need no signup: the Reddit viewer, Reddit comment search, the Reddit pain point and objection finder, the subreddit finder and the top subreddits list.

Price: a free account includes 6 credits and 3 runs in Claude. Paid plans start at $49 a month (Starter, 250 credits); one Reddit thread costs 1 credit, and scrapes in the Chrome extension cost none.

Pros: every insight links to the real comment; the same workflow covers 30 sources; free tools need no signup; works inside Claude and ChatGPT.

Cons: it is built for ad and positioning research, not lead generation. It does not give you a list of people to contact or draft replies to post.

Verdict: the pick when you want customer words you can put in ads, hooks and landing pages.

Reddit Pro home pageReddit Pro's public page. Reddit allows Trends data for internal use only, so we show the page, not the data. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

Reddit Pro is Reddit's own free tool for businesses. Its Trends feature tracks keywords such as your brand, products or competitors, and shows a feed of posts and comments, the top communities, an AI summary of the top discussions and related keywords.

Price: free, with no keyword cap. It is in beta.

Pros: free, with no keyword cap; the data comes from Reddit itself; an AI summary of top discussions.

Cons: you need a Reddit account with a verified email and must register as a business. It covers English conversations only, conversation volume works only for "smart keywords", and Reddit says the data is for internal use only, so you cannot publish screenshots of it without Reddit's consent.

Verdict: every marketer should set it up for free trend tracking. It does not replace reading the threads.

3. Reddit's AI search: quick answers from threads

Reddit's AI search (earlier called Reddit Answers) sits behind the "Ask" button in Reddit's search bar. Ask a question and it writes a summary of Reddit posts and comments, with citations and the communities they came from.

Price: free. Logged out you get 10 questions a week, logged in 50 a day, and 100 a day with Reddit Premium.

Pros: free; fast; cites the threads and communities it used.

Cons: it summarizes; it does not export comments or keep your research.

Verdict: use it for a first read on a topic, then pull the threads it cites.

4. PainOnSocial: pain points from chosen subreddits

PainOnSocial home pagePainOnSocial's home page with a sample scan of r/writing. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

PainOnSocial is the closest match to GummySearch's pain-point themes. You pick subreddits, and it groups the discussions into ranked pain points with the posts behind each.

Price: from $19 a month, with a 7-day trial.

Pros: ranked pain points from subreddits you pick; the posts behind each theme; cheap.

Cons: it covers Reddit only.

Verdict: the closest match to GummySearch's pain-point view.

5. SparkToro: where your audience spends time

SparkToro home pageSparkToro's home page. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

SparkToro answers a different question: not what customers say, but where an audience spends time. It maps the subreddits, podcasts, YouTube channels and newsletters they follow. Use it before you choose which communities to research. Our longer comparison: Adlicio vs SparkToro.

Price: a free plan with 3 previews a month. The Personal plan is $38 a month but billed yearly only; monthly billing starts at $150 a month.

Pros: maps subreddits, podcasts, YouTube channels and newsletters for one audience; a free plan to try it.

Cons: it shows where people are, not what they say in a thread.

Verdict: use it before you choose which communities to research.

6. Subreddit Signals: buyer intent and replies

Subreddit Signals home pageSubreddit Signals' home page: a 14-day trial that needs a card. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

Subreddit Signals monitors the subreddits you choose, ranks posts by buyer intent and drafts replies. It is mostly a lead-finding tool; its research features (Pain Points Radar and competitor intelligence) come with the Pro plan at $59 a month. Our comparison: Adlicio vs Subreddit Signals.

Price: from $29 a month ($24 billed yearly), with a 14-day trial that needs a card.

Pros: ranks posts by buyer intent; drafts replies in your voice.

Cons: it covers Reddit only, and there is no free plan.

Verdict: a lead-finding tool first. Pick it if you want people to talk to.

7. Syften: keyword alerts across communities

Syften home pageSyften's home page with the communities it watches. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

Syften sends filtered keyword alerts from Reddit, Hacker News, Bluesky, Mastodon, Stack Exchange, GitHub and more. X and YouTube are paid add-ons. It suits teams that watch several products or competitors. Our comparison: Adlicio vs Syften.

Price: from $29.95 a month, with a 14-day trial of the Pro plan.

Pros: filtered alerts from many communities beyond Reddit; good for watching several products.

Cons: alerts tell you a conversation happened; the analysis is up to you.

Verdict: the best paid alert tool for teams.

8. F5Bot: free keyword alerts

F5Bot home pageF5Bot's home page: free, no credit card. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

F5Bot emails you whenever a keyword appears on Reddit, Hacker News or Lobsters. For a founder who wants to know when their brand or niche comes up, it is the first stop. Our comparison: Adlicio vs F5Bot.

Price: a free plan with 5 keywords for personal use. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month.

Pros: free; simple; covers Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters.

Cons: there is no dashboard, analysis or intent scoring.

Verdict: set it up today for your brand and niche keywords.

9. Brand24: listening across many platforms

Brand24 home pageBrand24's home page. Screenshot: October 10, 2026.

Brand24 is a social listening tool that includes Reddit on every plan, next to many other platforms. It suits brands that need mentions, sentiment and reports in one place. Our comparison: Adlicio vs Brand24.

Price: from $249 a month, or $199 a month billed yearly, with a 14-day trial and no card.

Pros: mentions, sentiment and reports across many platforms in one place; a 14-day trial with no card.

Cons: it is priced for teams that need broad monitoring, which is more than most Reddit research needs.

Verdict: for brands that need full social listening, not only Reddit.
