Start with the symptom you see, or find the exact error message below. Your saved research stays in your Adlicio workspace when you reconnect.
Adlicio or its tools don't appear
Check that Adlicio is turned on in the current conversation. Then disconnect and reconnect it in your AI app's connector settings to refresh the tool list (in Claude: Customize > Connectors, open Adlicio). In a team workspace, ask the owner whether custom connectors are allowed.
The connected account is wrong
Ask Adlicio to check your account with whoami. Disconnect the connector, then connect again and choose the same account you use in the Adlicio app.
A result says pending
Some collections run in the background. Ask your AI app to check again, or use the matching tool:
| Pending result | Check it with |
|---|---|
| Deep YouTube comment collection | get_deep_scrape with the job id |
| Brand research | get_brand_research |
| Voice-of-Customer report | get_voc_report |
| Amazon pull or Facebook group search handed to your browser extension | get_extension_job with the job id |
| Instagram follower export | get_instagram_followers |
| Instagram comments | Call scrape_url again with the same URL, usually after a few minutes |
I need comments from a private Facebook group
Use the Adlicio Chrome extension in your own signed-in browser. The scrape_facebook_group tool queues the search and get_extension_job checks its status. Read the saved comments with get_history_item.
My AI app only supports a local server
The hosted connector needs remote HTTP support. Use the commentscraper CLI's local stdio MCP setup instead. It is a separate integration.
Error messages
Your AI app usually shows Adlicio's message as it is. Find it here.
"Account access required"
The tool or source needs a paid plan, and the connected account is on Free or Pro. Every source needs Starter or higher. Competitor ads, viral hooks, transcripts and creators need Growth, and top advertisers, TV ads and the export API need Scale. Check the plan of each tool on the tools page and of each source on the sources page. If you expected access, ask Adlicio to run whoami: you may have connected a different account. On a team seat, ask the workspace owner.
"Research preview used" or "Monthly research limit reached"
Free includes 3 Reddit pulls in chat, once. Pro includes 10 a month. What you already collected stays in your history. Starter, Growth and Scale have no pull limit; see credits and limits.
"Daily search limit reached" or "The daily fair-use limit of 200 searches was reached"
Each search tool has its own daily limit: 3 a day on Free, 10 on Pro and 200 on Starter, Growth and Scale. It resets at midnight UTC.
"Weekly Instagram allowance used"
Free and Pro can read 5 Instagram posts a week. Each pull frees up 7 days after you made it. Starter, Growth and Scale have no weekly limit.
"Out of research credits"
Your credit balance is used up. Plan credits on Starter, Growth and Scale reset on the 1st of the month; the 6 credits on Free do not reset. On those plans you can buy a credit pack at any time. In Claude, the message links to the credit packs and to the next plan up.
"Daily fair-use limit reached (150 scrapes/day)"
Starter, Growth and Scale can run 150 URL scrapes a day. Other tools have their own daily limits, for example 25 Meta ad searches. They all reset at midnight UTC; see credits and limits. If you need more for real work, contact us.
"Rate limit reached for ... (hourly)"
Each tool has an hourly limit that protects the service. Wait a while and try again.
"Unsupported URL"
Each source needs a specific kind of link, for example a Reddit thread with /comments/ in it or a Google Maps place, not a search. Check the source on the sources page and copy the full link from your browser's address bar.
"Invalid connector request"
Your AI app sent a sign-in request with a saved registration that expired (after 30 days) or could not be checked. Remove Adlicio from your AI app, add it again with the same URL, and sign in.
"Authorization expired"
The sign-in took more than 5 minutes. Start the connection again from your AI app and finish the sign-in in one go.
"No Adlicio account found for this Google user"
That Google account has no Adlicio account yet. Create one with the same Google account, or sign in with the email and password you use for Adlicio.
