Inputs

  • keyword (string, required, up to 300 characters): Search term or topic.
  • limit (number, optional, default 10, 1 to 20): Max results to return. Default 10, max 20 (higher values are clamped).
  • sort (string, optional, default relevance): Use Hacker News relevance order or return the newest matches. Default relevance. Values: relevance, recent.
  • type (string, optional, default story): story returns submissions with their comment counts; comment returns individual comments whose text matches, which is where the customer language is. Values: story, comment.
